𝐕𝐔𝐋𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐓𝐇! And if there had ever been anything to soothe Daphne’s fears of losing Fred to another woman, man, anyone in between, it’s the relief that comes with remembering that at the end of every day: they are one another’s rocks. Whether weathering stormy weather, or driving a cool night in the rain, hand in hand, the ties that bond them would hold, everlasting. YOU SIMPLY COULDN’T CONVINCE THIS GAL OTHERWISE. She refused to believe it.

The bonds they’d formed with the gang, and with each other were forged in something stronger than stone. The trees bearing their initials were oaths to one another, to Coolsville, to Mystery Inc. to the world: as much as things changed, this, them, would always stay the same. Evolving, but never changing.

And so their love had grown, like a garden, it had FLOURISHED, withered, and burst with new and brighter blooms. And it hadn’t been easy, but it had been right. They’d found new ways to hold each other, new ways to fit together, and it had made all the in-betweens worth it.

❛ Always, Freddie. ❜ She wrapped herself around him, like comfort, like the sun setting on a bad day, always with the promise of something SWEETER around the corner. ❛ Always. ❜
