APPEARANCE.
HEIGHT: 5′7″ without heels

BUILD: a small waist, pear-like frame, flat stomach ( occasionally poochey after a few too many ice cream sundaes and strawberry rose bouquets ) and breasts that sit somewhere between a b and a c cup. ( meta found here )
COMPLEXION: thin-skinned and pale in the winter-time, with a scattering of brown freckles over the tops of forearms, shoulders and nose (however the latter is usually hidden by makeup); in the summer, her skin has more color to it, without being too tan ( thanks, spf 30! ); also, daphne tends to get her body hair lasered away, but shaves when on the road to save time, so, as a result, little, red bumps on her skin are more common when travelling.
EYE COLOR: straight up purple ( well, really her eyes are a very intense blue that comes across violet to the untrained eye, think elizabeth taylor )
HAIR COLOR & STYLE: typically left down and tumbling down her shoulders, it’s held in place by daphne’s iconic headband. occasionally she’ll take it out, only to replace it with a silk bandana in a gorgeous shade of lilac that beautifully accents the coral hue of her hair; it’s thick and healthy, with a sheen not unlike that of a pantene commercial ( thanks, mommy blake! )
NOTICEABLE FEATURES: nose is pert and a little upturned, often contoured slightly to make it look a little more button-ish; daphne tends to dress in shades of purple and pink, accented by occasional splashes of black or white if she’s feeling crazy; her lips are full and pink, the lower slightly more plump than the top and typically painted with a dusky, matte pink and clear lipgloss, and also she tends to smell of something feminine and light, like rosewater.

PHYSICAL DISORDERS: PCOS ( poly-cystic ovarian syndrome ) and a shellfish allergy

EATING HABITS: in comparison to scooby and shaggy, everyone is a healthy eater, if you ask her. however, having been raised along side five sisters with completely different dietary habits, by a mother that’s a hard-core vegan and a father that adores his meat, daphne’s indulged every kind of diet under the sun in order to reach the one she currently follows. this means eating whatever she wants, but in moderation, and no more than four sweet things per week, since she easily gains weight when it comes to carb-loaded foods. also, it’s important to note that daphne very, very rarely ever eats chocolate. she’s something of a chocaholic ( understatement! ) so it’s definitely a bad idea to give her chocolate. however, she dislikes eating red meat and tends to stick to leaner meats like fish, or rarely: chicken.
EXERCISE HABIT: in half of high-school, exercise mostly was composed of p.e classes and the occasional tryst through her family’s in-home gym. in high-school she stuck to yoga and occasionally gymnastics. but, after she started getting serious about getting fit while mystery inc was split up, daphne began to learn karate and combatives, training up to four times a week –– five if she was really feeling herself. when she isn’t training at the gym with her personal instructor, on a normal day, daphne will start the day with stretches and some yoga, and do a few reps of squats, burpees and jumping jacks. this, of course, alternates day to day, though. on the road she doesn’t get to exercise as much within the routine, but all the running away from the bad guys definitely isn’t bad for her health ( well, if you don’t count the several heart attacks she gets while being scared crapless during each case, that is ). kick-boxing, as she gets older, becomes a favourite sport.
PERSONALITY.
POSITIVE TRAITS: can be patient, romantic ( will follow her heart over her head ), well-meaning, filled with determination, loyal to her friends, steadfast in her beliefs, and can be hilariously dramatic.
NEGATIVE TRAITS: stubborn as hell, easily made envious ( in romantic situations ), somewhat vain, a touch judgemental, a little too emotional, and can be easily worked up / made vulnerable / manipulated.
TALENTS: singing, convincing others to underestimate her, navigating in high-speed car chases. surfing, thinking fast in intense situations, playing the keyboard / guitar, riding a motorbike, some ballet. ( what makes daphne a good detective )

OVERVIEW.
in most verses, daphne’s personality and aesthetic is inspired by a mix of the old scooby doo series’ and the movies –– she is a little air-headed in certain aspects, and not always the most street-smart, but she’s also fiercely determined to improve herself in all aspects where it matters ( to her ) –– my daphne will stop at nothing to prove herself worthy ( because in her own eyes, she doesn’t always believe she is ). she is a stead-fast feminist, but also doesn’t completely understand all aspects of it and a huge part of her character development as a whole is gradually learning more and more. in my second verse, inspired by the mystery incorporated series, daphne’s a little less interested in actual feminism and proving herself, but also feels a lot more included by mystery incorporated, so she doesn’t always feel the need to prove herself as a part of the gang. she’s more easily jealous here, and a little more overdramatic.
in my fourth verse, my southern gothic au, daphne is a lot angrier, and is actually the brawn of mystery incorporated. she has a lot of frustration and anger held up inside her, and she’s definitely a lot easier to set off, as such. she’s more volatile, less dreamy-eyed and one to try and never show weakness.
